Sunday Manicure

My family and friends will no doubt be pleased with the return of this blog-series as it means the end of "Look at my nails! Do you like it? Really? You're not looking properly!" whenever I redo my fingernails each week...

A couple of weeks ago I finally invested in some nail-art tools as this was their first test run. I bought a 5 piece tool kit for dotting etc on ebay and with shipping it only cost about AU$1!

Today's manicure was created with OPI's 'Dating a Royal' as the base and China Glaze's 'Pink Plumeria' for the dots and accent nail.  The dots didn't turn out quite as brightly as I would have liked but I'm pleased with the first results with the nail art tools.

One of my new year's resolutions was to get better at doing my nails and while I know I'm way off salon quality I feel like I'm beginning to get there.  And with summer fast approaching I'm really looking forward to experimenting with some bright colours and crazy designs.
